Donating Books

How may I donate books to the Trinity Book Sale?

We will accept donations to the book sale beginning March 1st, 2025. All drop offs and pickups must be booked in advance by emailing trinity.fotl@utoronto.ca

Drop offs will be held Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm. To arrange a drop off, please email us at trinity.fotl@utoronto.ca for a time. You will then be provided with instructions about where to go, packing, size limitations, etc. Drop off days can be very busy, so we may not be able to accommodate “walk ins”.

If a drop off is not possible, please contact us at trinity.fotl@utoronto.ca or call us at 416-978-6750 to see if pick up can be arranged.

Books for the sale must be packed in LCBO boxes, bankers’ boxes, or boxes that are 15” x 12” x 10” for easy handling. Close flaps on the boxes to permit stacking. Please pack boxes to the top. Do not fill empty space at the top with paper or plastic because this can cause boxes to collapse when they are stacked.

Donations should comprise 20 boxes or fewer. Please email us at trinity.fotl@utoronto.ca if you have a larger batch. We will try to accommodate but cannot guarantee.

Please note that we do not accept the following:

  • Items that are musty, moldy, or heavily marked up
  • Water damaged items, those with broken bindings, or damaged covers
  • Magazines or journals
  • Textbooks more than 10 years old
  • Encyclopedias, Reader’s Digest Condensed Books, Time/Life Books, or other subscription series
  • VHS or cassette tapes
