Are you curious about alternative forms of justice? Do you ever find yourself thinking about the meaning of words like violence and reparation? This event will be an introduction to Rittenhouse: A New Vision and the Walls To Bridges education program, and transformative justice. It will be largely discussion-based, accompanied by various guests, including:
The Margaret MacMillan Trinity One Program is partnering with the Ethics, Society & Law and the Criminology & Sociolegal Studies programs to bring forward an event meant to challenge our assumptions about what justice looks like. The event will begin with our esteemed guests introducing Rittenhouse: A New Vision, Walls To Bridges education program, and transformative justice. Participants will then break out into small discussion groups where they will be invited to listen and discuss from a place of humility and openness. Participants will finally join together to summarise discussion points and give their concluding thoughts. Light dinner and refreshments will be provided.
This event will bring together students from Trinity One, Ethics, Society, & Law, and Criminology & Sociolegal Studies. Spots are limited for each respective group so we recommend signing up as soon as possible; if seats are full you will be prompted to join a waitlist. Please sign up using the link that corresponds to the group you associate with, either Trinity One, ES&L, or CrimSL.
